Northern Territory Rainbow Awards

The NT Rainbow Awards is a celebration of excellence within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Sista Girl and Brotha Boy community. These prestigious awards recognise individuals, businesses, community groups, NGOs, not-for-profits and Government Departments that have made outstanding contributions to creating a more inclusive and vibrant NT.

The awards honour those who uplift the community and drive positive change. Each category reflects a unique aspect of achievement, ensuring that the wide-ranging contributions of the Rainbow Community and their allies are celebrated.

The Gala Awards Night is an evening to celebrate our community, recognise excellence, connect, laugh, imbibe and share stories of resilience and triumph. We celebrate the progress and unique spirit of the LGBTQIASB+ community. With categories as many and varied as our community itself, the awards highlight incredible work and aim to inspire future generations to continue shaping a brighter future.

About the Rainbow Awards

The Northern Territory Rainbow Awards celebrates the incredible achievements of individuals, businesses, and organisations who uplift and inspire our LGBTQIASB+ community. Represented by the vibrant and resilient Rainbow Bee-eater, these awards were created to shine a light on the contributions that are often overlooked. If there’s no seat at the table, we say, make your own table!

Organised by Party Passport (creators of the Sugarbag Festival, Miss First Nation and many beloved Pride events), the awards are judged by a diverse panel of local and interstate experts to ensure fairness and integrity. Nominations are open to individuals, businesses, NGOs, government departments, and community groups, with winners selected based on their submissions and supporting materials.

The Gala Awards Night is a chance to celebrate our community in style, with an evening of connection, laughter, and recognition. It’s not just about the awards—it’s about sharing stories, promoting visibility, and inspiring future generations. Because you can’t be what you can’t see.
